EastEnders fans should be prepared for something big in next week's episodes which will see "disaster strike" on the square.

EastEnders bosses are keeping pretty quiet about what the plot involves and which characters will be affected but a source has revealed to Inside Soap: "Tragedy looks set to strike again! Lives are definitely on the line."

Eek!

The disaster will begin in Monday night's episode and for Walford residents it will start off fairly normal until they discover the council plans to move the stalls to another site. Martin Fowler decides to go on strike and attempts to encourage other stall holders to join him however they decline.

It's not long before disaster hits the square and in Tuesday's episode viewers will see the aftermath of the event and the residents attempt to deal with the situation. But will a beloved character die?

It was recently revealed that Aunt Babe is at the top of the cast list for Monday's episode and Jay Brown is at the top for Tuesday's. The name at the top of the list is usually a character in the last scene, does this mean Jay and Aunt Babe are in trouble?

Last year we found out Annette Badland, who plays Aunt Babe, is leaving the show could this be the end of the road for her? We also know Danny-Boy Hatchard, who plays Lee Carter is bowing out of the soap could we say goodbye to him?

We sure do hope not, either way we can't wait to see what happens. Tilly Keeper, who plays Louise Mitchell, hinted to the Radio Times that the episode is going to be incredible: "I'd definitely tune in next week. They're unmissable episodes. Full of drama."

Many fans pointed out that Mick Carter (played by Danny Dyer) and Phil Mitchell (played by Steve McFadden) celebrated their birthday's a few days early and now the shows bosses have confirmed it's because of the upcoming dramatic storyline.

"Next week sees disaster strike in Walford, and these episodes all take place over one day, so in order for events to be played out in this way, other moments need to be moved slightly for story purposes," they told Digital Spy.
