The family is in turmoil when they realise they’re about to lose the Vic…for good!

Mick, Linda and the rest of the Carter clan have got a huge battle on their hands next week when they’re told they’ve got to pay up or ship out!

The family is reeling when Grafton Hill, (who are seriously starting to get our nerves with all their greedy demands), wallop them with a massive bill for so-called repairs to the ageing pub.

Mick can’t believe his eyes when he sees the letter outlining the costs and knows there’s absolutely no way they can stump up the cash. What are they going to do?

They’ve already sold the leasehold to scheming Fi to keep a roof over their heads but this latest demand looks like the final nail in the coffin. As the determined Carters put their heads together to try and come up with solution, Whitney suggests they offer to pay in instalments.

Linda decides to book a meeting with big cheese, Hugo, who is the chairman of Willmott-Brown’s set up, however it doesn’t go particularly well. He flatly rejects their instalment proposition and instead says they have just five weeks to pay the total sum or he’s got no choice but to turf them out.

Fi pretends to stand up for the Carters and fight their corner but it’s secretly clear whose side she’s on. Has Linda got wind of the fact that Fi has been furnishing both Hugo and Willmott Brown with personal information about their family and using it to her advantage?

As the situation gets increasingly heated, the Carters are under immense pressure. Struggling to come up with any kind of solution, will they be forced to wave goodbye to their beloved Queen Vic?

We’d be sad to see them forced out onto the street but we have to say, the pub seems to have brought them nothing but trouble and strife! Maybe they’d be better off packing their bags and starting a new business venture somewhere else in Walford. A kebab shop? A dog kennels? We don't know ...anything but a money-guzzling, decaying pub!
