Emmerdale actor Danny Miller has announced he’s engaged to his partner Steph Jones and they are expecting their first child together.

Danny, who has played bad boy Aaron Dingle on the soap since 2008, made the revelation in a recent interview, explaining that just a month after popping the question they found out about their unexpected pregnancy.

"It was a massive surprise because emotionally we’d been psyching ourselves up for IVF," said Steph. "It was meant to be. We got engaged at the beginning of January and found out we were expecting in February."

Speaking to OK! magazine, Danny told of the moment hearing the news while on set filming the huge explosion scenes from earlier in the year.

Emmerdale star makes major blunder as he seemingly posts explicit video

In 2019, Danny’s job was under threat when a number of fans made calls for him to be sacked after a foul-mouthed rant on Instagram stories after he failed to win anything at the British Soap Awards and called a fan a "f--king idiot" and a "sh-thouse".

A year later he was in trouble again after angrily tweeting about a Gregg’s worker who asked him to “smile”.

"Suffering with a bit of anxiety today and so not my normal self I feel," he wrote. "Then some skanky woman working @GreggsOfficial ‘cheer up don't be so miserable. Smile!!’

"You know what, Karen... Why don't you f--k off you insensitive, horrible woman. Be nice. Or don't say anything."
