The amount of money EastEnders Danny Dyer earns has been revealed
The amount of money Danny Dyer – aka Mick Carter – earns on EastEnders has been revealed and it might surprise you.
Back in February it was reported that Danny Dyer was forced to leave EastEnders after concerns about his health. At the time an insider of the show said: "It is best that he takes some time out to sort his life out. He appears to be exhausted.
"As a result, Danny is not filming on the show at all. There is an enforced break that is expected to last a number of weeks," they told The Sun.
The 39-year-old actor has since been on an extended break but it was recently reported that he was spotted back on the set of EastEnders.
A source told the Daily Star: "Everyone is looking forward to having a refreshed Danny back on the show. He’s a big character on and off the set and his absence was really noticeable."
It has now been reported by the Mirror that Danny, who first joined the show in 2013 and plays the Queen Vic landlord, is paid a whopping £400,000 a year.
Meanwhile according to the Daily Star, longer serving actors such as Steve McFadden who plays Phil Mitchell earns £310,000 and Adam Woodyatt who has been on the show since 1985 earns £260,000.
As for the actresses the lovable June Brown, who plays Dot Branning has allegedly signed a contract to stay onto the BBC soap until March 2018 and has reportedly been offered £300,000.
Wow!
A source told the newspaper: "Bosses at the BBC like to open talks early so things don’t go down to the wire.
"They realise June isn’t getting any younger but she has intimated that she wants to carry on in the role as long as she feels able."
