Dani Dyer TURNED DOWN by EastEnders and she believes her dad is to blame

In the Branning/Owen households, Amy catches her dad Jack off-guard when she asks him when he's going to marry Mel. Following the conversation with him daughter he decides to broach the idea with Hunter but is left stunned because of the teenager's reaction.

Jack buys some flowers and Mel thinks they're for her...

He's then forced to buy another bouquet of flowers and he ends up laying them down at his late-wife Ronnie's grave.

After visiting Ronnie's grave, reflecting on his conversation with Hunter and a little encouragement from Max Branning, Jack makes a decision…

Elsewhere Hunter makes a secret phone call – what is he up to? Later on when Mel returns home Hunter lets slip about his chat with Jack.

Later on Jack plans to propose to his girlfriend at E20 but it backfires on him.

However after he has a heart to heart with Mel the pair are back on track.

It's not long before she begins to tease him about proposing.

Unfortunately their conversation is set to go downhill because while Jack anxiously waits for his girlfriend's response, Mel's ex-husband Ray arrives.

Mel is shocked that her ex-husband is on the square and after she puts two and two together she realises Hunter is behind Ray's random visit.

After Ray discovers Hunter's plan he leaves which panics Mel, however when Jack is left confused she covers and insists she's concerned for Hunter's feelings… riiight.

Alone, Mel's frustration boils over. Later when she returns home and discovers Hunter is still away she orders him to bed taking his phone off him and she calls Ray.

Later on in the week, after Max and Rainie wind Jack up about his disastrous proposal, he decides to call Mel and sort everything out.

Soon after, Ray arranges a lunch with Mel and Hunter but unbeknownst to them he has invited Jack too – what is he playing at?

The week for the Carter family begins with them attempting to get their life back to normal but they're left horrified when Start rings them and lets slip that his younger brother Halfway visited him. It's safe to say that the Carters are left disgusted at Halfway's betrayal.

Things don't get any better for them because it's not long before Stuart rings The Vic again and drops a huge bombshell for Mick.Eek!

A fuming Mick sets off to confront his former BFF but is left confused when he arrives and discovers that Stuart has laid out some tools for him to use – Halfway's brother wants Mick to take his revenge.Oh boy…

It's not long before tension rises and just as Mick is about to leave Stuart goads him. Soon after Mick explodes.Later on, Mick returns back to The Vic and shows his wife Linda a video – she's left terrified.What has Mick shown her?

Meanwhile Tina is furious to discover that Dylan has retracted his statement however she's taken a back when he explains Stuart's been intimidating him – leaving him scared for his life.

After reassuring him, she decides to let him stay at The Vic for the night.

Following Stuart's actions over the past few weeks everyone feels on edge, including Halfway who asks Whitney to stay with him to ensure she's protected.

Aww.

While everyone goes to bed a restless Mick decides to take Lady Di out for a walk, however unbeknownst to everyone, Stuart is waiting in The Vic.Seriously he's not okay, is he?It's not long before disaster strikes and a gunshot rings round the Square – but who has been shot?

Following the sound of the gunshot the residents begins to panic and soon everyone is wondering who has been shot and who is responsible?Later, as the ambulance and the police arrive they begin their investigation over what's happened.At the end of the week, the news of the events travel fast around the square and before you know it, DI Arthurs arrives in Walford and makes a shocking arrest.

Over to the Mitchell household and after Sharon rushes Dennis off to school, the teenager bumps into Stuart who has another job for him. As Dennis counts out the money Stuart gave him, he hides something else..

After hearing the gunshot at The Vic, an alarmed Dennis asks Sharon to sit with him. Meanwhile Keanu Taylor spots someone acting suspiciously by the canal…

A suspicious Keanu returns to the square and explains exactly what he say to Sharon. She's left stunned but warns Keanu not to say anything to the police until she finds out what's happened.

After Keanu meets up with Sharon again to discuss the events that occurred at the canal, Sharon insists he forgets all about it. At first he agrees but when Sharon gives him a wad of cash saying that Phil owes him it doesn't sit right with him.It's not long before Sharon finds the cash posted back through her letterbox and when she calls Keanu he sends it to voicemail…What has he seen? What has Sharon discovered?
