After revealing the father of her baby is Steve McDonald, it looks like things are about to get a whole lot worse for Leanne Battersby.

Leanne fell pregnant with her friend's (Michelle Connor) husband after a one-night stand, however, she decided to keep the baby.

In an interview with the Radio Times, Jane Dawson (who plays Leanne) said: "She [Leanne] doesn't really think it's a possibility that she might be pregnant because of her history and what's happened in the past [when she fell down the stairs and damaged one of her fallopian tubes].

"She also thinks that this could be her last chance – she's getting on a bit."

Steve recently told his wife Michelle that he didn't want any more children but little did he know that she too, is pregnant.

After finding out that Leanne is pregnant, Michelle Connor wanted to get pregnant herself. Alas Steve is now expecting two babies from two different women on the street.

Leanne has since been reunited with Nick Tilsley after he stopped her and Simon from leaving the Cobbles on a coach. And in upcoming scenes, he confesses that he wants to be a dad to Simon (her step son) and her unborn baby.

However, it looks like the truth of the father's identity will be revealed.

In tomorrow night's episode (26 August), Nick tells Leanne that they should pretend that the baby is his. Leanne promises that she will think about it but later on, Tracey Barlow confront Leanne in The Rovers and asks when the baby is due.
