We last saw Toyah Battersby leave the cobbles in 2003 after she discovered her boyfriend John Arnley cheated on her with her roommate Maria Connor. Now, the feisty character is back.
Toyah didn’t have it easy while on the street. When she ran away from her mum (Janice Battersby) and step-dad (Les Battersby) to find her dad in London, she got kidnapped by her biological dad's ex-cellmate Neil Flynn.
She got raped and later discovered it was by her "friend" Phil Simmonds and she dated her college tutor John.
However she did reunite with her ex-boyfriend Spider and they left Coronation Street together.
And now Georgia Taylor (who plays Toyah) has spoke about her return to the ITV soap: "I am thrilled to be re-joining my old friends on the cobbles and hugely excited to be given the opportunity to explore the character of Toyah 13 years on.
"Coronation Street has always had a place in my heart and I'm delighted to be working again with my good friend Jane Danson and bringing the Battersby sisters back together."
She added: "The script writers and producers have come up with some fantastic, clever and detailed storylines that have inspired me and I feel excited to get started!"
Corrie's producer Kate Oates has hinted that Toyah is going to bring a lot of drama to the street, "She has led an interesting life away from Weatherfield and she has secrets she has kept even from Leanne."
Eek! We can't wait.
We're hoping she'll be there to support her step-sister Leanne Battersby if Michelle Connor finds out that she's pregnant with Steve MacDonald's baby.
Coronation Street fans will know that after a one-night-stand Leanne fell pregnant with her friends - Michelle Connor's - husbands baby. The only people who know the truth are Leanne, Steve, Liz MacDonald and Nick Tisley.
At the moment Leanne and Nick are telling everyone that he's the father of the baby but as this is Coronation Street we're sure the truth will come out…
Kym Marsh was a fan of Simon Gregson before the pair met
Kym Marsh (who plays Michelle Connor) recently revealed that she had a poster of Simon Gregson (who plays Steve MacDonald) before she even knew him.
She told the Sunday Mirror: "I actually had a poster of Simon on my wall when I was younger, which is so weird.
"He was a heart-throb in the day! I love Simon, he's gorgeous like a teddy bear, he's lovely."
How crazy!
We doubt she'll find his character lovely when she discovers he's cheated on her with one of her best friends…
