There’s no denying Craig Tinker and Bethany Platt would make an adorable couple. Could a romance be on the horizon for the teens as they grow increasingly close?
Gentle giant Craig has been Bethany’s absolute rock through all the horrific ordeals she has had to cope with at the hands of evil Nathan and now that she’s finally coming out the other side of her nightmare, he’s continuing to show his loyalty and support.
Meanwhile Bethany has grown increasingly close to Beth’s caring son and although their friendship has always been platonic we’re starting to think there could be a blossoming romance between the cute pair.
However, Bethany’s self-confidence is still at rock bottom thanks to cruel manipulator Nathan but this week her great-gran Audrey has a clever idea to help with that when she offers her a job at her salon as the resident beautician. Although initially, Bethany doesn’t think she’s up to the job, with a bit of gentle encouragement she agrees to give it a whirl. However first she needs a willing guinea-pig to practice on. Enter Craig! (Although he’s more adorable puppy than guinea-pig in our eyes).
As Bethany sets to work giving her best mate a nice little manicure – would you like the peach melba sir, or the flaming flamingo? – it’s clear there’s a spark between the pair of them and later on Beth, Kirk and Sinead urge Craig to go for it and ask Bethany out on a date. A slightly nervous Craig plucks up the courage to invite Bethany to the Bistro for lunch but as he waits with his pint, will she show up?
Meanwhile there’s another surprise for Bethany when she gets an unexpected visit from Nathan’s accomplice, Mel, who shows up on her doorstep asking her for help!
Bethany’s immediately suspicious and threatens to call the police but a troubled Mel piles on a convincing sob story, saying she’s been tormented by Nathan too and was his first-ever victim. As Bethany opens up and agrees to let Mel stay at the Platt abode is she making a big mistake? With the trial against Nathan looming, can Bethany trust anything Mel says or does the tanning salon worker have a sinister secret agenda?
