Will the couple say ‘I do’ or is Sinead secretly still in love with Daniel?
The year has only just kicked off but Corrie is getting off to a flying start as Sinead and Ches gear up to tie the knot. So will this be the first soap wedding of 2018 or are things about to go horribly pear-shaped?
Let’s face it, things haven’t been exactly great between the lovebirds recently. Chesney’s intense jealousy over Sinead’s ex, Daniel, has made him pull some crazy stunts, like faking food poisoning and even walloping himself in the chops with a brick and falsely accusing Ken’s son of attacking him! We think Sinead has every right to be feeling slightly wobbly about walking down the aisle with her unstable ginger squeeze.
As she gets dressed up for her Big Day in a very flowery ensemble, she’s starting to have jitters.
Katie McGlynn who plays her says, “Sinead loves Chesney but she’s stunned by his behaviour. She knows he’s done these crazy things because he loves her but she really doesn’t like the jealousy and desperation and doesn’t know what to do.”
Meanwhile Ches is given some bad news when he hears that neither his sis Fiz, or his mum Cilla will be showing up for his nuptials as Cilla’s health has taken a turn for the worse. Oh dear, hardly a great start.
Just to add to the mix, Carla has a heart to heart with Daniel and tells him that if he’s still in love with Sinead he should do something to stop her marrying Ches before he loses her forever. Ok…now things are really going from bad to worse!
As Sinead gets ready to set off for the registry office, she spots Daniel across the street and the couple lock eyes.
Katie says, “There’s a moment between them. Her relationship with Daniel was a whirlwind and she never expected to feel that way about someone so quickly. I think that Daniel is the love of Sinead’s life.”
Hey ho! So is she really going to soldier on and marry Ches then?
As the (un)happy couple come face to face at the registry office will Sinead actually go through with it? Can Chesney marry someone whose heart seems pretty darn obviously to belong to another? And will a lovelorn Daniel follow Carla’s advice and step in to scupper proceedings?
Ooh, questions, questions. All we can say is brace yourselves for one VERY emotional wedding day!
