After Nick Tilsley declared his love for Leanne Battersby and stopped her from leaving Weatherfield we finally thought they'd have their happy ever after.
Especially after Nick accepted that Leanne is pregnant with someone else's baby, but little did Nick know that Leanne lied about the baby's father being a stranger from a one-night stand.
And in tomorrow night's episode (2 September) after Nick reveals to Leanne that his relationship to Carla Connor was based on lies, Leanne feels that she should come clean about the secret she has kept hidden – that the father of the baby is Steve McDonald.
At first Nick struggles with the news, however, he shortly becomes furious when he finds out that Leanne slept with Steve the same night Nick told her he loved her.
Actor Ben Price (who plays Nick Tilsley) explains Nick's reaction to Leanne's confession: "Nick can’t believe it's Steve for a start! But then he thinks this is very complicated now," he told Digital Spy.
He added: "Nick's known Steven for the whole of his life and he lives across the street. This is difficult now. This changes things."
And it seems that the confession is not going to stop there.
Next week Nick tells Steve to move away to prove he's not going to get involved in the baby's life but when Steve refuses to move, Nick sends a text to Michelle revealing Steve and Leanne's one-night stand.
Ben revealed to Digital Spy: "Nick is quite happy to tell Michelle."
He added: "This is the difference in Nick now – he's gone through so much with his brain injury and his brother.
"He's changed so much as a character that he hasn't got that much to lose."
We hope it's not over for Nick and Leanne we want them to have their happily ever after with Simon and the unborn baby, but this is Coronation Street and we doubt things will be plain sailing…
