Following this week’s harrowing scenes between Geoff Metcalfe and Yasmeen Nazir and fan outrage at his abusive behaviour toward her, one twitter user has called on arguably the most villainous resident in Coronation Street history to “sort him out”.
Enter: Pat Phelan.
And actor Connor McIntrye hasn’t dismissed the possibility, commenting on the tweet to hint that Pat may well be up for the challenge.
“Did someone call? Where can I find this Geoff fella then?!” he wrote, alongside a picture of his character in his infamous red van.

Pat grew to become one of the most hated characters ever on Corrie after a string of underhand crimes including keeping Andy Carver prisoner for nearly a whole year, the rape of Annabel Rubinstein and blackmailing Anna Windass into sleeping with him.

He left the street in 2014, but returned two years later and married Eileen Grimshaw before he was eventually stabbed killed by Anna after shooting his own daughter, Nicola Rubinstein.
