Charlie Clements has revealed that his popular EastEnders character Bradley Branning won’t be returning from the grave - if he has anything to do with it anyway.
Speaking to The Sun, Charlie explained that he hasn’t watched the BBC soap since he left the show, and doesn’t miss playing Bradley either.
“If I hadn’t left I wouldn’t be doing other shows which I prefer doing,” Charlie revealed.
And speaking about a possible return for Max Branning (Jake Wood)’s eldest, Charlie added: “They resurrect characters sometimes but even if they wanted Bradley back as a ghost I wouldn’t take up that offer.”
The 28 year old also revealed that when he started the show he always said he would do it for four years and that would be it.
However, it wasn’t his decision to be killed off.
Recently, Charlie shocked fans when he appeared on Loose Women to promote his current role of Henry VIII in Channel 5’s new drama, Henry VIII and His Six Wives.
EastEnders fans are used to seeing baby-faced Bradley Branning, but Charlie has certainly grown up since his soap days.
And Charlie had a few words to say about those mean tweeters, saying: “Devastated to announce this morning that I'm not actually Peter Pan..”
So, it looks like Charlie won’t be returning to EastEnders, but that doesn’t mean Bradley Branning still can’t make an appearance.
After all, soaps do love to bring beloved characters back from the dead, and they’re not afraid to change the casting either!
