Bethany Platt gets sucked deeper into the evil web of her groomer, Nathan
Things take a harrowing turn for Bethany Platt in Coronation Street next week when her 'boyfriend' Nathan asks her to lie to the police for him.
Bethany is approached by Mel - who is masquerading as her friend but is really Nathan's grooming accomplice - and discovers that Nathan has been pulled in by the police on an assault charge.
Mel tells Bethany that he needs an alibi and, worried he won't make dinner with her mum, Bethany agrees.
Deciding she'll do what she can to make sure Nathan is released, Bethany calls in at the police station and says that Nathan was with her when the assault was alleged to have happened.
Nathan is released and Bethany is delirious when he tells her how amazing she is.
He makes the dinner but things take another sinister turn when Bethany finds herself as the only girl at Nathan's party.
Will someone please step in and help her! It's getting almost too awful to watch - which means Lucy Fallon (Bethany) and Chris Harper (Nathan) are doing an awesome job.
