Sarah Platt finally meets Bethany's new 'boyfriend' Nathan in Coronation Street next week, when he joins them - and Gary Windass - for tea. Awkward. But what will Sarah and Gary think when they realise Nathan is older than them? And will they be able to see through Nathan's slippery charm and call him out for the dangerous groomer he really is?
Predictably, Nathan turns on the charm over the meal and promises Sarah that he only has Bethany's best interests at heart. Gary isn't convinced by Nathan's words, but Sarah insists that she has little choice but to accept Nathan if she wants to stay on good terms with her daughter.
Later in the week, Bethany panics when Sarah takes her to the medical centre for contraception. She's already had the implant fitted, but how will she explain this to her mum? Sarah struggles treating Bethany like an adult as she heads off for an evening at Nathan's.
Bethany gets a shock when she arrives at the party and, apart from Mel, all the guests are men. What does Nathan have planned for the evening?
