For us, the build-up to a new series of The Real Housewives of Cheshire equates to that of the days and weeks leading up to Christmas for non-fans (eww); the festivity, the merriment, the dinner parties, the outfits, the excitement, the preparation – all of that. And with the seventeenth series of the RHOCheshire set to start filming in just two weeks time, it's safe to say we're getting into the spirit of things.
Yes, fine, we're still weeks/months away from the series airing or even the first teaser trailer dropping, but this is 2023, queens, which mean reality stars have a job to do 24 hours a day, seven days a week, thanks to social media. If the build-up to last series is anything to go on, then we can pretty much guarantee that the majority of our returning Housewives will be teasing filming over social media for the next few weeks, giving fans a sneak peek into how this series is shaping up (who's falling out with who).
The first social media teaser was dropped by, surprise surprise, Rachel Lugo two weeks ago. The long-running star of the show revealed via her Instagram story that filming would be kicking off in a month. She also revealed that she had no idea who was returning to the series (we're guessing such secrecy is to stop any pre-show Housewife plotting).
The most recent Housewife to drop a social teaser is queen of queens, Lystra Adams – and if we've read this teaser correctly, it's a HUGE one.
Lystra recently shared the Instagram story post of a rather fabulous woman called Sina Krisina, who Lystra appears to be quite friendly with. Now, it's no secret that Lystra has a multitude of fabulous friends, but this post caught our eye, as Sina actually tagged the RHOCheshire's official Instagram account.
To accompany a snap of some champagne, Sina wrote, "Yes champagne at a midday meeting lol. We have an exciting project coming up for @officialroch. Love you girl @lystraadams @missgb_official."
Before anyone snaps at us for jumping to conclusions, we're not; we're just presenting the facts. And if Sina has indeed signed up for the new series as the newest Housewife she certainly qualifies for the job: fabulous, glamorous, enjoys fizz at lunchtime, is friends with a current Housewife – all of that.
The model is also no stranger to the camera, having recently taken part in Miss/Ms Great Britain in 2022. Her grid is also 80 per cent professional shots; a far cry from the mirror and golden hour selfies that litter our own grids.
As of publication, ITVBe had not officially confirmed the cast for series 17, nor had they confirmed when the series will be returning to our screens.
No matter, we can be patient – after all, 'tis the season in our office.
