We thought that Love Island stars Zara Lackenby-Brown and Jordan Odofin were robbed of a proper chance to find love in the villa, if we’re being honest, so we were thrilled when they revealed they’d been on a string of dates in the outside world.
Things were looking good for the gorgeous pair after they appeared on a podcast and even discussed the idea of marriage and babies, but sadly it seems things have fizzled out just days after the Love Island reunion.
Zara and Jordan have confirmed they’re no longer “an exclusive couple” and are now just friends in news that has, frankly, broken our hearts.
Jordan’s Instagram statement read, “Hey everyone, Zara and I would like to acknowledge the increasing public support for us to be seen as an exclusive couple.
“After a few dates since leaving the villa, we definitely know that we get along and enjoy each other’s company. It has been two and a half weeks of getting to know each other and for now it’s a fun friendship between us.
“We have a lot of respect for each other and that’s what matters.”
It’s definitely not been a good day for Love Island relationships as Zara and Jordan are the SECOND couple to split.
Their announcement comes just hours after Casey O’Gorman revealed he was no longer an item with Rosie Seabrook.
He was taking part in a Q&A on Instagram when one of his followers asked, “How are things with you and Rosie?”
He replied, “Rosie and I have spoken…she’s such a great girl.
“Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward!”
SOB.
We guess not every Love Island couple can be Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan.
Perhaps the most wholesome winners in the history of the ITV2 dating show have been doing the rounds since leaving the villa and recently appeared on Closer’s Love Island Secrets where Sanam spilled the tea about “awkward” scenes that weren’t aired.
