This year’s Love Island has certainly delivered on the drama, hasn’t it? We’re just two weeks from the final and there’s been so many explosive moments that even we’re struggling to keep up with.
We have to admit that Love Island 2024 wouldn’t have been the same without Joey Essex. The TOWIE icon has used his vast reality TV experience (seriously, check his Wikipedia page to see just how many shows he’s been on) to stir the pot and basically cause carnage in the villa.
It hasn’t gone unnoticed by the other Islanders either, as he was voted the most likely to bitch behind someone’s back during the Game Sex Match challenge. Not only that, but dumped Islander Wil Anderson admitted that Joey’s definitely “putting on a show” when he visited Closer HQ with girlfriend Uma Jammeh for a post-villa chinwag.
“I don’t think Joey’s bitchy,” Uma said when asked about the challenge.
Wil added, “No, he’s not bitchy at all. Like in real life, he’s absolutely sound.
“But he’s been in this industry for what, 13 years or something, so he knows what to do and who to talk to and how to create drama.
“So, at the end of the day, he’s putting on a show.”
But Wil revealed that it’s not only Joey who’s ramping up the drama as there are other Islanders doing it, too.
He explained, “Quite a few people in there are trying to create good TV. Me included.”
Wil definitely created good telly during that brutal Casa Amor recoupling when he decided to stick with Uma despite spending the past few days getting to know (and locking lips with) Lucy Graybill.
Uma was thrilled to see Wil standing at the firepit by himself, but his bad behaviour quickly came to light and Uma was left in tears.
After Wil was dumped from the villa when bombshell Reuben Collins stole Uma, she decided to leave to and they’ve been going strong in the outside world. The pair are even now official boyfriend and girlfriend after Wil decided to pop the question (no, not that one).
We love to see it.
