Love Island's Scott Thomas has opened up on whether he would consider recoupling with ex-girlfriend Kady McDermott if they were to come face to face in the Love Island: All Stars villa.

Scott, 36, met Kady, 29, on the second series of Love Island in 2016, reaching the final and finishing in third place.

After the villa, the pair stayed together for a year before announcing their split in August 2017.

Kady returned to the villa hoping for a second chance at love in 2023, and now Scott is following in her footsteps as he prepared to take part in the second series of All Stars.

Speaking to Closer and other press ahead of the show’s launch, Scott admitted he doesn’t know how he would react if he saw Kady.

‘We have not crossed paths in five years, maybe longer, like literally haven't seen each other, he said.

‘There might have been an odd message about three years ago, but literally, haven't seen her. It didn’t end in the best way possible. I don't know how I would be if I saw her. I don't know how she would be if she saw me. That's the honest truth.’

He continued, ‘I don't have any bad energy towards her, but it didn't end well. It’s like a weird part of your life that's kind of been closed off and you haven't ever revisited it, so it would be interesting and a special moment, I'm sure.’

However, Scott – who is the brother of soap stars Ryan and Adam Thomas – refused to rule out a reunion with Kady if she were to show up in the villa.

‘I don't want to sit here and sound like an idiot and go, “No chance! I'm over that, that’s in the past,” and then next minute… you don't know.

‘Me and Kady haven't seen each other in nine years ago so she's obviously grown up a lot. I'm a completely different person.

‘I don’t know, I said I'm gonna give everybody a chance. I don't know if she's gonna go in or not.

‘If I was to see someone in there, I’d probably be most worried about her being in there because that's probably it's been a mad experience seeing your ex, but at the same time, I'd be open to just having a chat.’

Regardless of whether Kady returns to the villa or not (she's reportedly back with her ex, so we doubt it), we do know that India Reynolds, Elma Pazar, Catherine Agbaje, Olivia Hawkins, Gabby Allen and Kaz Crossley have been confirmed as OG Islanders.
