Paris Fury begs Molly-Mae Hague: 'Don't take Tommy Fury back'

After bravely documenting her first family Christmas as a single mum with her daughter, Bambi, Love Island's Molly-Mae Hague appeared to make a huge U-turn just days later when she was photographed sharing a New Year’s kiss with ex Tommy Fury.

Now while fans have taken to Molly-Mae’s social media to urge her to reunite with Tommy following their shock split last year amid claims he cheated on her, sources say her ex ‘sister-in-law’, Paris Fury, is raising alarm bells behind-the-scenes and urging Molly-Mae Hague to tread carefully.

The insider says, ‘Paris often feels like she’s stuck in the middle of the drama and has to play the grown up and smooth things over. Paris does have her own concerns that she's trying to chat through with Molly, in a very subtle way. She is worried that the two weren't really split for long enough to get their heads together and to really understand and process things.

‘Post break-up, with emotions still so raw, it's really hard and Paris knows both Tommy and Molly were miserable, and of course there's little Bambi, but she wonders if the couple have really had enough time and distance to deal with all the underlying problems that caused the split in the first place.’

Molly-Mae, 25, and Tommy, 25, fast became one of Love Island’s greatest love stories after their whirlwind, and at times rocky, romance played out during the fifth series of the ITV dating show.

Despite leaving the sunshine and the bubbles of their first Jacuzzi date behind them, the pair went on to welcome Bambi in January 2023, with Tommy romantically popping The Question in Ibiza six months later.

However, rumours began swirling of Tommy’s infidelity when Molly released a split statement on social media in August last year. At the time it was claimed Tommy had cheated with ‘multiple women’ - something he has always strongly denied. Now four months on and the couple were also reported to have been spotted holding hands days before the New Year’s party and Tommy is rumoured to have spent the night at Molly Mae's house.

But the source says Paris, 35, is concerned that the pair are rushing too quickly to ‘fix’ the situation, and wants Molly-Mae to learn from her own marriage to Tommy’s brother, fellow boxer Tyson Fury.

They add, ‘Paris knows what it's like to just want the situation fixed and back to normal for their little family but she’s worried that, as much as she supports them, that Tommy won’t be able to keep up his promise of ditching the drinking and partying. Paris knows first-hand that people don't really change their ways. Tyson promised her a thousand times he'd change and ditch the drinking and crazy partying, but of course he always fell back to it.

‘She's not saying Molly has to accept this, every couple is different and has their own way, but she's trying to gently say that if this is going to be a huge issue for Molly, then she needs to really think about it and understand it because it's not going to be easy.’

Paris, who shares seven children with Tyson after marrying in 2008, is no stranger to the ups and downs of dating a Fury.

In her biography, Love and Fury, she reveals how she initially called off their wedding just months before after Tyson refused to move a fight for their nuptials. And again in December, Paris confirmed the rumours that Tyson had extracted himself from family life for three months in order to train for a fight.

Now, with Tyson said to be encouraging Tommy to focus on his boxing career instead of the drama surrounding his personal life, the source says Paris is trying to be a voice of reason for Molly-Mae.

They add, ‘Right now, Paris is being very supportive and very open with Molly-Mae and encouraging her to really talk things through. She is taking the approach of a big sister with gentle guidance but is happy to be a little bit straighter talking with Tommy. She wants him to face these big adult decisions.’

And with a source telling Closer last September that Molly-Mae and Tommy had been planning a second baby ahead of their split, the insider says Paris has warned Molly not to rush into things and get swept up in a big reunion.

They add, ‘Paris is just trying to make sure that Molly has her eyes open going back into this; the last thing she wants is for them to be caught up in all the big emotions of being back together.

‘She knows how easy it is to rush back into organising the wedding and another baby and fears that if they move too soon, they could find themselves back having the same rows a few years down the line. She just wants them both to be happy.’
