If we had the power to secretly snoop around the Love Island villa for the day, one of the first things we would do is to have a nosey on the Islanders’ phones as we’re SO intrigued what’s on there.
We know that contestants can’t do much on the phones other than take pictures and receive texts from producers, but we’re still super curious. Especially after Love Island 2024 finalist Nicole Samuel revealed that she had not one, not two, but THREE phones confiscated from her by producers after she broke Love Island rules.
Nicole spilled the beans on her rule break exclusively to Closer online when she came to visit us for a chinwag alongside her boyfriend Ciaran Davies.
Viewers will remember that Nicole used her phone to spy on what the boys in the main villa were up to during Casa Amor by zooming in on the camera. Genius, tbh. However, during our chat, Nicole revealed that producers rapped her on the knuckles for her camera hack.
She explained, “I had a row with the phones. So, when I went to Casa Amor, I had three phones confiscated off me because I took 107 photos in three minutes. They called me into the Beach Hut and they were like, ‘Nicole, seriously now’.
“They took three of them off me, so I had two of the boys' to start. I had Blade’s and I was taking pictures with them and Blade was like, ‘Why have I got 107 pictures of my phone of the boys over in the villa?’ and I was like, ‘It’s not me, it’s not me.’”
However, Ciaran admitted that the boys were doing the same thing in the main villa, too.
“It was something they didn’t show, though, me and the boys were actually doing the same,” he said.
“We weren’t taking photos, but we were just looking through the phone to see what’s happening because the first night, the boys were on their own but the Casa boys were with the girls so we could hear all the shouting and talking and stuff. We were just curious as to what was happening.”
