There are fewer things we love more than when the stars of our favourite reality shows spark up a romantic connection, so imagine our joy when Love Island’s Matilda Draper and TOWIE’s Roman Hackett confirmed they were an item earlier this month.
The reality TV pair dropped a couple of hints they were dating on social media before going the whole nine yards and hard launching their relationship with a loved-up post and we’re so here for it.
Now, just days after announcing their love to the world, Matilda and Roman have taken a major step in their relationship by getting matching tattoos.
Matilda showed off the inkings on, you guessed it, Instagram recently by sharing a snap of herself and Roman holding hands.
A tattoo of the words ‘Carpe Diem’ – which means ‘seize the day’ in Latin – could be seen on their wrists.
Aww, cute.
Now that she’s dating a TOWIE star, it’s rumoured that Matilda could appear on the ITVBe show when it returns for series 35 next year.
‘Roman and Matilda Draper have been on several secret dates, now bosses are lining her up to join the cast of TOWIE. They always want the cast to bring their real love lives on screen,’ a source recently told The Sun.
‘Love Island proved Matilda’s not shy of getting into drama and he’s really into her - he’s really into her, so when they start filming the new series, bosses are hoping she’ll make an appearance.’
Let’s hope she gets more airtime than Roman’s last on-screen flame, Ella Barnes.
Matilda’s relationship Roman comes after she split from villa boyfriend Sean Stone just weeks after they made it to the final of Love Island 2024.
The pair insisted that their split was amicable and that they would remain friends despite parting ways.
