We don’t mean to alarm you, but there’s only a matter of weeks until Love Island will be back on our screens.
We know, we know, it feels like All Stars has only just finished, and not much longer since Mimii Tafara and Josh Oyinsan won Love Island 2024. But somehow, it’s been almost a year since the last summer series was on our screens, which means there’s not long left to go until a new bunch of Islanders are entering the villa.
But when exactly does Love Island 2025 start? And will Maya Jama be returning as host? Here’s everything we know so far…

When does Love Island 2025 start?
ITV haven't confirmed exactly when Love Island will return, but historically the new series starts in the first week of June.
Who is hosting Love Island 2025?
Despite lots of speculation that she could be leaving, Maya Jama will be returning to host Love Island once again and, frankly, we couldn't be happier about it.

Who are the Love Island 2025 cast?
The Love Island cast is always kept tightly under wraps until just before the series starts, but there have been some whisperings about who could be taking part. It's not unusual for the relatives of a celebrity to enter the villa and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Tanya Bardsley recently revealed that producers have previously tried to sign up her daughter Gabriella.
She told Closer, '[Gabriella's] already said no [to Love Island] and we do need to get her a boyfriend.’ Could 2025 finally be the year she appears on the show?

According to reports, Love Island bosses have been in talks to sign up their first ever transgender contestant after recruitment advisor Michelle Roscoe caught their eye. Michelle is British but lives in Ibiza and would be the first trans woman to appear on the show if she signs on the dotted line.
'Love Island are always looking to evolve and move with the times when it comes to their contestants,' a source told The Sun.
'They have met with Michelle and spoken to her about whether Love Island would be the right show for her. She is absolutely gorgeous and an advocate for the trans community so she’d be an incredibly interesting contestant.
'The Love Island casting process takes a long time and thousands of men and women try and get themselves a place on the show each series, so the competition is fierce. If Michelle makes the cut it would be a huge moment for Love Island but nothing has been decided yet.'
How can I watch Love Island 2025?
As usual, Love Island will be available to watch on ITV2 and ITVX.
