We have to admit that life after Love Island isn’t quite as straightforward if you’re one of the male contestants. While the show’s most successful female Islanders like Molly-Mae Hague, Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Indiyah Polack have all gone on to achieve huge brand deals, TV appearances and Instagram ads, such opportunities are a little harder to come by if you’re a Love Island boy.

It’s something Love Island 2021 winner Liam Reardon has spoken out about before, although it seems that he’s finally found the career path for him as the Welsh lad has just revealed his new job – and it sounds like it could make him HELLA money.

Like Tommy Fury and Jack Fincham before him, Liam is hoping to make the move from reality TV to boxing and he’s even teased a potential fight with a fellow Islander.

Liam spoke out about his new career in boxing on a recent episode of co-star Chloe Burrows’ podcast Chloe vs The World as she told viewers, “For those that don’t know, Liam is actually a big fat boxer.”

“Well, not yet, until I’ve had my first fight,” he interjected.

Liam added, “I’m training every day. Once I get in there, do the business, get a couple of fights under my belt then I’m going to start saying, ‘Yeah, let’s get the bigger opponents!’”

Talk then turned to how much money Liam could earn from his new venture as Chloe said, “I heard from George Baggs [that you could get] £175k for three fights. You’d obviously get more than that, come on.”

“That’s good money,” Liam responded. “Once I’ve won my first fight, put on a show, show everyone what I can do and then yeah, then we can talk.”

“First fight, six figures at least. Minimum I would say. They’re making so much money, come on,” Chloe replied, however Liam insisted he wouldn’t be making that much at first.

“I won’t say on here, but I know how much it is,” he added.

That being said, Liam did tease a fight with Tommy and we’d definitely pay good money to see the Love Island boys do battle.

When Chloe asked if Liam would he ever fight Tommy, he replied, “Yeah, if it came to it, definitely.”

Make it happen, lads.
