This is an interesting time for Islanders, journalists and Love Island fans alike. Let's be real, the first week of a new series of the ITV2 dating show is a slog; nothing particularly interesting happens because all our new Islanders are getting to know each other. Snore. As such, we often spend this week paying more attention to Islanders of seasons past, who in turn, think we're distracted watching and writing about the new lovebirds on the block. Not the case, and we see you.
Actually, can we backtrack a little? Maya Jama's slow-mo walks into the villa were definitely interesting happenings, but elsewhere? Over the last three days? Meh.
We do have a point to this; we've recently spotted two Love Island 2022 stars – who we're pretty sure didn't speak to each other once in the villa, apart from maybe a brief chat about both being from Wales (which to be fair would be huge green flags to these two) – mingling in the outside world and, honestly, it's the mini-reunion we never knew we needed.
Remember lovely Liam Llewellyn? The cutie who was paired up with Gemma Owen on day one of Love Island 2022 and decided to walk on day five? Well, this Welsh hunk was recently spotted with a bit of Love Island 2022 icon – albeit one that [SOME would describe as "frosty" {href='https://heatworld.com/celebrity/news/paige-thorne-coco-lodge/' target='_blank' rel='noreferrer noopener'}).
WE wouldn't say frosty, but she certainly knows how to throw a OTT tantrum, we will say that.
Yep, Liam recently caught up with none other than Paige Thorne in Swansea - just a few weeks after catching up with "misrepresented" Luca Bish, we might add - this week and the content was cuteeeeeeeee.
Paige posted a snap of her with Liam ahead of a visit to see funny-man Ricky Gervais live (as far as we can tell) in the Welsh city; a post that Liam then shared. The Love Island OG captioned her post, "Catch ups".
The mini-reunion follows the news that Paige put her hands up to claiming that one of the Love Island 2022 finalists was "fake" on the Saving Grace Podcast late last year, leading many fans to question the integrity of winners Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti. In an interview with Her, she said, "When I did that podcast, I was in a really low place and I was feeling hella bitchy, and I just took it out on everything around me, which showed."
She added, "It wasn't the best side of my character but I had heard some news that it's not all as it seems and I was in my little bitchy mood."
Do you know what you need, Paige? A lovely good guy. A lovely good Welsh guy. A lovely good Welsh guy you can have a laugh with at a Ricky Gervais gig. A lovely good Welsh guy you can have a laugh with at a Ricky Gervais gig that definitely isn't Adam Collard. Wouldn't that be just lovely.
We're manifesting it for you, honeybun.
