If you care at all about the environment then you’ll be refusing one-use plastic cups and investing in reusable mugs – and good on you. In Britain, we throw away around 2.5million takeaway coffee cups every year – we often think they’re recyclable, but they have a thin plastic lining which means they aren’t.

Join the bamboo revolution!

Bamboo is fast-growing and sustainable, so it makes sense to choose this material for your reusable cup. Plus, there’s the added bonus of getting a few pence discount on your coffee at most coffee chains these days – Pret will give you 50p off, while Starbucks and Costa offer 25p off.

As well as bamboo, many companies are using rice husk fibre, recycled paper and more, so we've included some of those too.

There really is no excuse for not buying a reusable coffee cup. The designs are adorable, they help save the planet and are great at keeping your coffee warmer for longer!
