The campaign video says “women's boobs, particularly their nipples, are censored in certain social networks even when showing how to perform breast self-examination to detect early breast cancer.”

With 27 per cent of cases of breast cancer being preventable, the #ManBoobs4Boobsvideo gives an uncensored look into how to properly examine your breasts to check for signs of cancer.

Monica Asturizaga from MACMA says: “The breasts of women, [particularly] nipples, are censored on some social networks, even if what they are doing is to show a breast self-examination to reduce the risk of breast cancer,”

The video criticises social media sites for censoring women’s breasts and nipples and allowing ‘moobs’ to be on show, so are using male model to help women check out for the warning signs of the illness.

The steps to checking your breasts are:

  1. Standing infront of a mirror put you hands on your hips, check your breasts for any changes in the skin or nipples including swelling or lumps.

  2. Put you hands on you head to check the shape distortion.

  3. Use your three middle fingers to press in a spiral around your breast, starting from the armpit and going downward, repeat the spiral motion until you reach your nipple.

  4. If you feel any lump or anything irregular contact your doctor.
