Former TOWIE star and Celebrity Masterchef 2021 contestant Megan McKenna opens her gluten-free fridge for Closer.

How much do you spend?

It can be £200, other times much less. I like Lidl for their fruit and veg and Tesco for my luxury items.

Describe your daily diet…

At the moment [she is five months pregnant] breakfast is two waffles, baked beans with Worcestershire sauce, grated cheese and a baby leaf and rocket salad. I like to add maple syrup on top of everything, as I love the sweet and savoury combo. For lunch, I’ll have a tuna sandwich with jalapenos, onion and tabasco. I have it in a warm, crusty gluten-free baguette. Plus salt and vinegar crisps. For dinner, spag Bol from scratch with garlic bread. If I’m being cheeky I’ll have chips, too. I’ll even it out with a side salad.

What do you refuse to eat?

You will never see me eat a banana.

What would you cook to impress?

It would have to be a beef wellington. They are top notch. When you cook it perfectly and the meat is that perfect pink – it’s amazing. I’ll have it with dauphinois potatoes and a red wine jus. I always have fresh veg with it too.

Favourite sweet treat?

It would be lemon sorbet with strawberry sauce and I like to crush salted peanuts over it and have a flake in the middle.

Takeaway order?

An Indian korma. I’ll also get a tomatoe-y dish with a bit of kick and Bombay potatoes.

Closer nutritionist Juliette Kellow says, “As Megan is pregnant, it’s vital her diet is packed with nutrients to feed her developing baby. It’s important to have enough calcium to support the growth of her baby’s bones – milk, cheese, yoghurt, beans and nuts are a great choice. Megan might also like to have a portion of oily fish each week – these provide omega-3 fats, which are vital for her baby’s brain and eye development.”

Megan has teamed up with Florette Salad to create recipes inspired by Jet2Holidays as part of Florette’s on-pack promotion offering shoppers 100 chances to win £3,000 holiday vouchers.
