How much do you spend per week?

Usually £50-£60, but in lockdown it’s been about £100 because my husband Jay Gudgeon and our two kids [Reegan, eight, and Kayori, six] are all at home .

Describe your daily diet…

I start with hot water and lemon, followed by porridge with raspberries and blueberries.

I buy a bag of fish fillets, season them and pop in the freezer. When I need one, I’ll bung it in the oven with a knob of butter and have it with wilted spinach, curly kale and brown rice for lunch. Dinner is quite practical because of the kids, so we’ll have jacket potatoes, or I’ll do a Hairy Bikers’ salmon dish. It’s coated in garlic and herbs, and slow-roasted with sweet potatoes, carrots and leeks.

Is there anything you refuse to eat?

I don’t eat meat and I don’t like anything too spicy. If it’s too hot, I won’t enjoy the meal.

What’s the strangest thing you’ve ever eaten?

On Celebrity Love Island in 2006, I had to have this drink that smelled and tasted like bile. It made me throw up!

What would you cook to impress?

We were big on dinner parties before COVID. I’d do monkfish cooked in white wine sauce and lobster tails, simmered in garlic.

What’s your speedy dinner dish?

I’d microwave a pre-cooked bag of rice and pan-fry tinned mackerel, then serve it with shredded lettuce, cabbage and tomatoes.

Verdict

Nutritionist Juliette Kellow says, “Kéllé’s diet is packed with nutritious foods. It’s great to see she chooses high-fibre carbs such as sweet jacket potatoes, porridge and brown rice, together with plenty of fruit and veg. It’s also great that she eats plenty of fish.

“Oil-rich choices like mackerel, sardines and salmon are packed with omega-3 fats that are good for our heart, brain and vision.”

Hollyoaks is on weeknights on C4, 6.30pm.
