Chef, fitness expert and influencer Joe Wicks has been changing our approach to eating since way back in 2014. His quick and easy recipes (that just so happen to be lean and good for you) have sky-rocketed him to super stardom. Let's also not forget how much a national treasure Joe was during the lockdown pandemic as he helped the entire nation stay fit whilst stuck in their homes for months on end.

Alongside thousands of his iconic recipes, Joe's protein banana pancakes has become something of a cult classic.

Eat pancakes and stay relatively healthy? We're sold. You can have them for breakfast or for a cheeky Pancake day treat. The best thing about them? You can choose whatever toppings take your fancy; maple syrup, nutella, lemon and sugar, caramel sauce or just fresh fruit and whipped cream.

1 banana, roughly chopped

1 scoop vanilla protein powder

1 egg

25g rolled oats

1 tbsp coconut oil

Greek yoghurt, blueberries and raspberries, to serve

Joe Wicks banana protein pancakes method

In a bowl add the banana and mash it up. Add the egg and mix in. add a sprinkle of cinnamon and a few drops of vanilla extract. Add one scoop of whey protein and mix to make a pancake batter.

Fry the pancakes in Lucy Bee Coconut oil and top with Total Greek Yogurt, blueberries, honey and some walnuts. Enjoy!
