Zoe Ball has celebrated her son Woody's GCSE results with her estranged husband Norman Cook, AKA DJ Fatboy Slim.

Zoe, who split from Norman last September, was pictured with her son and Norman looking absolutely ecstatic as her 16-year-old son did amazingly well in his exams.

The good news will come as a relief for Zoe, as it's nearly four months after the death of her beloved boyfriend Billy Yates, who tragically took his own life in May of this year.

Woody, whose school year are the first to go by the new grading system, was awarded an 8 in English language, a 7 in English literature, a 6 in maths, B in computer science, and As in drama, design and technology, science and additional science.

He said: "The new system has made me happier with my marks because an 8 seems higher.

"I want to do drama and film studies next year so I am going to BHASVIC - Brighton Hove and Sussex Sixth Form College."

Zoe, whose father is children's science TV presenter Johnny Ball, said: "He was worried about maths. Your granddad is going to be very proud because he got an A for Science. I'm so proud of him."

Zoe put to bed any rumours that she did not get on with her estranged husband, adding: "Norman and I have had a little cry in the car waiting for him to come out."

She also posted a photo of her son with his dad on her Instagram page, revealing that Woody is now going to Reading Festival to celebrate.

She wrote: "Proud as ever of our beautiful boy who smashed his GCSE's #aceface #brightoncollege. He's off to celebrate at #readingfestival #no1son #smarttike #proudmama #emosh."

Woody proved himself to be a very mature young man after the death of his mother's partner, as he posted an emotional tribute to him on Instagram a couple of weeks later.

He wrote on his Instagram: "I'm sorry we spent so little time together. No-one deserves to feel what you felt. I'll look after her."

What a well-rounded young person. Well done Woody!
