Zoë Ball has said goodbye to her beloved boyfriend Billy Yates at his funeral following his death from suicide
Zoë Ball was joined by other friends and loved ones of her boyfriend Billy Yates, who tragically passed away three weeks ago, at his funeral on Monday.
Billy, 40, who was suffering from depression, was found by friends at his home in South London, having taken his own life by hanging.
Police were called, but it was sadly too late to save him.
Whilst Zoë, 46, has understandably not been very active on social media recently, she did respond to a few well-wishers on Twitter last week, thanking them for their thoughts and even offering condolences to others going through the same thing.
But she yesterday took to Instagram for the first time since the announcement of his death, posting a photo of Billy from a holiday they shared together.
Billy looked peaceful and happy in the intimate snap, smiling slightly, and Zoë captioned it: "Goodnight my beautiful Boy. I'll be loving you always."
A representative confirmed to the MailOnline that Billy's funeral was on Monday: "The funeral of Billy Yates was yesterday attended by family and close friends."
Although it has not yet been confirmed, it is thought that Billy had fallen prey to a jailed accountant who left Billy with huge tax bills for his own financial gain.
Out thoughts are with Billy, Zoë and their families at this difficult time. ❤️
