X Factor star Lucy Spraggan has revealed that she and wife Georgina are now approved foster parents

Singer songwriter Lucy Spraggan has just announced that she and her wife Georgina are now approved foster parents!

The X Factor star, who has just finished a huge tour, made the announcement on her Instagram account.

Posting a photo of herself and wife Georgina, who she married in June 2016, she wrote: "Me and my fabulous wife are now officially approved foster carers! Woo!"

Hooray! Congratulations Lucy and Georgina!

The singer then added a link to The Fostering Network, writing: "If you're interested in becoming a foster carer, check out this website. 🌸❤"

This will be a welcome relief to the couple, who were recently attacked after one of Lucy's shows in Brighton.

Posting the above photos of herself, she wrote: "That's my own hair. Was attacked tonight after the show in Brighton, along with my guitarist and wife. Sussex Police have been amazing and are pursuing a charge," along with the second photo which simply said: "Sore."

Thankfully, Lucy, Georgina and the others were ok - albeit very shaken.

Lucy then posted the following note in an Instagram snap: "There's been a lot of speculation over the past couple of days. Me, my wife and my guitarist are ok. Two people were arrested and bailed while the police gather evidence. It was all very shit and not a great way to finish the UK leg of the tour, but hey ho.

"Thank you for all the kind words, that's all we have to say for now! Finishing the rest of the tour in Europe as planned."
