Congratulations are in order for one former star of The X Factor! 5 After Midnight singer Kieran Alleyne has welcomed a baby boy with ex Sophie Johnson.
Kieran, who made it to the semi-final of the last series of the talent competition, revealed he and Sophie were expecting in October.
The boyband star announced the news to fans on his Twitter page, writing: “Well damn….. I’m a dad.”
Earlier in the day he posted a message which suggested Sophie may have gone into labour, telling his followers “22 hours and counting”, and he previously shared a picture of a stalk caring a newborn, with the message: “Hooray! Baby on the way!”
Kieran and Sophie split shortly before the birth of their first child together but he insists they are still on good terms.
The pair found out they were expecting during the judges’ houses round on The X Factor last year.
Kieran told The Sun: “I know she will be the most amazing mother to our son. I’m looking forward to us starting a new chapter together as great friends and committed parents to our baby boy.
“We are both incredibly excited to welcome him to the world together.”
