While you were losing your sunglasses and complaining about back sweat last week, Victoria and David Beckham were one-upping everyone else’s summer. After holidaying in Italy, they spent a few days in the South of France with A-list pals Elton John And His Husband David Furnish.
The group partied on the Rocketman singer’s boat, doing karaoke and playing dress-up. But behind the happy scenes, friends say the mum-of-four is beginning to seriously fret about her "party boy" son, Brooklyn.

"Vic wants to show the world she’s never been happier, but the truth is the opposite," says an insider close to the couple, who also have sons Romeo and Cruz and daughter Harper.
"She ’s been worrying about what’s going on with Brooklyn – and what it might mean for her marriage."
The 45-year-old spent last week sharing sunny shots from the family trip on Instagram, calling it a "happy summer with friends" and telling Elton, "We love you both and your boys so much."
Things got a bit sillier later on, when David, 44, transformed himself into Elton, wearing his infamous bejewelled glasses and a loud Versace shirt. Victoria then shared a video of herself singing a Barbra Streisand song, while Elton giggled behind the camera.
But it wasn’t all LOLs – last week news broke that 20-year-old Brooklyn had split from model girlfriend, Hana Cross, after nine months together.
Things had been getting serious, with the couple regularly appearing at events together, sharing plenty of PDAs on social media and even getting a pet Pomeranian, named Soho.
But they haven’t been seen in public since they attended Wimbledon in July. "Vic's upset that she couldn’t save Brooklyn’s relationship," a source told heat magazine.
"Hana had become part of the family, and everyone liked and trusted her. Vic’s also sad because she desperately wants Brooklyn to follow in her footsteps and have a long-lasting relationship.
"She really hoped she and David had set an example – instead it feels like Brooklyn quit at the first hurdle."
The fashion designer is now concerned her photographer son will slip back into some old wild habits. "She worries Brooklyn is going to play the field and make a fool of himself," says the insider.
"He can be a bit of a party boy, and now there’s no-one to stop him hitting the celebrity circuit again. She’s worried he’s going to fall in with the wrong crowd or start running around town with loads of different girls.
"It’s not the example Victoria wants him to set for his younger siblings – and she also thinks it could hurt Brand Beckham."

A source has also told the publication that it’s also making the former Spice Girl doubt her own 20-year marriage.
"When something like this happens, it knocks Vic’s confidence. She’s realised how quickly feelings can change, and there’s nothing you can do about it.
"She also really felt for Hana – she struggled with Brooklyn’s partying lifestyle, and Vic’s spent a lot of her marriage trying to rein in David’s wild side."
The insider continues, "Brooklyn’s an adult now, so there’s not much Victoria can do about it. But she’s still holding out hope that he and Hana can get back on speaking terms – and maybe even work things out."
