The reality star came out as gay during a candid interview on the daytime talk show, and following his emotional TV appearance he spoke to a UK newspaper about his feelings in the immediate aftermath.
"It kind of happened very unexpectedly I never thought at the beginning of this week that I would be ending the week doing this.”
He continued, telling The Mirror: "The prospect of coming out has been on my mind for the last few weeks I’ve felt that I’ve got to that point in my life where I have the clarity, I know who I am and I don’t want to waste any more time. I’ve got this thing in my head at the moment that time is so precious and important and one thing we’ve got no control over.
"It was a really nice feeling to be able to sit there and say 'I'm Charlie, I'm 29 years old, I'm a gay man' and I'm comfortable with saying that now.”

He added: "To be able to say that is just a relief off my shoulders."
