Tamara Ecclestone has posted a photo of herself breastfeeding her two-year-old daughter Sophia Eccelstone-Rutland and hinted it should be the new normal.
The mum-of-one doesn't have it easy on Instagram. She's been accused of spoiling her daughter after posting lavish photos on social media, she's been slammed for posting breastfeeding photos but now she's proved once and for all that online trolls don't bother her.
The Formula 1 heiress has posted a wonderful photo of herself breastfeeding her almost-three-year-old daughter on Instagram. She captioned the photo: "Thank you @ivetteivens for capturing this beautiful moment this is by far my favourite photograph but mainly thank you for spreading this message. Breastfeeding is a powerful demonstration of love and nurturing yet it has become so normal to hide. I want to take normal and toss it."
Many of her 250k followers have supported the mum-of-one on social media. One person commented: "Thank you for showing there is no shame in this beautiful action x"
Another follower related to Tamara and said: "Beautiful we've made it to 18 months with no signs of stopping. I don't feed in public because so many people (including some on this post - seriously why do you bother) judge so harshly. Congratulations on making it this far and spreading such a beautiful message xoxo"
Someone else wrote: "Everything about this picture is beautiful. If you see anything sexual here, you need help."
Another person commented: Amazing photo a beautiful moment captured. Love how you're normalising breastfeeding to full term. Me and my youngest are still going strong at 26 months."
Although some people disagree with Tamara's decision to continue breastfeeding her daughter. One person wrote: "If a toddler is at the point where they eat regular food and chew with their teeth then there's no reason to continue breastfeeding at almost 3 years old… IN MY OPINION it's kinda creepy she's sitting next to her drinking like that."
Someone else said: "I'm sorry, but that is not a 'moment'. That is a staged shot, where the child has been asked to look at the camera. I am not OK with this. Breastfeeding? Yes, always for as long as the child wants… But in front of a camera in such a forced situation, not as powerful."
Another wrote: "As natural as it is, it does feel a bit like a smack in the face to mothers who were not able to breastfeed, like me."
What do you think? The 32-year-old model has defended her decision to breastfeed countless times including on Loose Women.
Tamara has also revealed that she thinks her next baby will be a boy. Opening up to Hello! magazine the yummy mummy spoke about her plans for expanding her family: "I do want another child but 2017 isn't the year.
"You never know what's going to happen in the future but right now I'm so consumed with Sophia and I'm still breastfeeding. I personally don't feel read. My body doesn't feel ready."
Although she hinted when it is the right time Sophia may have a brother: "Every psychic I've seen said we're going to have one more and it will be a boy."
We'd love to see Sophia with a sibling.
