F1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone has sparked furious debate on social media, after posting a picture of her 2-year-old daughter Sophia sat atop a huge pile of Christmas presents.
While most people who commented on the photo said how cute Sophia looked, with lina_seaver saying: "Omg this lil cutie always makes me smile", and sweetpea_booboo saying: "Lucky baby girl", a few of Tamara's followers were not quite so happy with the photo. Instagram follower Catsy78 commented: "Ridiculously spoilt", lisaanneliu writing: "Sitting on the unwrapped presents is a bit unappreciative tbh, it could be seen as a bit brat-ish," while marie.mens added: "She is spoiled, too much."
Following the criticism, some of Tamara's fans jumped to her defence, with larna_turnerday commenting: "Spoil her as much as you want! We all would if we could!", bmegan writing: "All the people criticising would 100% give their children/families the same if the were in the position to. No need to be nasty or jealous. your children would be spoilt if you had millions to spend too!" and staceyjealbrown saying: "Why do people have to be so nasty to her... she can spoil her child all she wants if anyone had her money I'm sure you would do the same for your children.. she is an amazing mummy with a beautiful little girl."
Despite being a member of the one of the world's richest families, Tamara insists that her family don't go overboard at Christmas. In an exclusive interview in Closer's Christmas double issue (on sale RN!), Tamara explained: "We stick to giving sentimental presents from the heart. I like making my family collages with photos of Sophia."
