Susanna Reid has taken to her Instagram to share a throwback photo from her first ever news broadcast, with many commenters comparing her to a “fine wine”.

That is to say, she looks even better now that she did twenty years ago.

She’s now known as the face of ITV’s Good Morning Britain, but Susanna made her telly debut on BBC news back in the year 2000, and she’s poked fun at her hairstyle from the broadcast, writing, “Someone at TV Live unearthed my first national news bulletin on BBC TV. It was in May 2000 so there’s 20 years between these pictures. Rocking the Playmobil hair.”

And followers could hardly believe the transformation, with one even comparing her to fictional character Benjamin Button – who ages backwards.

Lizzie Cundy took to the comments to say, “Look better now my darling,” and another fan wrote, “Getting better with age,” followed by a love heart emoji.

Last year, Susanna slimmed down after cutting alcohol out of her diet following a stark warning from doctors about how booze was affecting her health.
