What Strictly curse?
Strictly Come Dancing professionals and real-life husband and wife Karen and Kevin Clifton have dazzled audiences with their picture perfect dancing love story.
They met whilst both starring on Broadway, Kevin as a choreographer and Karen as a dancer. A true match made in dance heaven.
The pair tied the knot in July last year but have notoriously kept their relationship extremely private, choosing to focus on their celebrity dance partners than draw attention to their marriage.
However, that all changed when they starred on ITV show All Star Mr and Mrs, where they shared hilarious insights into their life as a newly married couple.
They even revealed that they tried to avoid each other at first and it was a while before they admitted their true feelings for each other.
Karen shared her first impressions: “I remember thinking he was so different and edgy.”
And Kevin admitted: “We have such a good laugh together all the time.
“My life wouldn’t be what it is today if it wasn’t for Karen. She’s perfect. She’s always been my best friend.”
Awwww.
He did admit one downfall of having Karen as a wife though, explaining that she nearly always forgets his birthday!
"I haven't had a proper birthday since I've been with Karen!" he laughed.
One couple that have been defeated by the now infamous Strictly curse are former Coronation Street actress Georgia May Foote and professional dancer Giovanni Pernice as the pair took to social media last week to announce their spilt.
Georgia wrote: “Although it was not an easy decision to make sometimes you realise that it is better to be friends and this is one of those times.
“We both have very busy work schedules for the rest of the year so we are both going to focus on our upcoming work projects and we wish each other well in the future.”
Giovanni then shared the statement on his social media accounts.
Strictly kicks off this Saturday 3rd September on BBC1 at 6.20pm. Are you ready for all the sequins and endless sparkle? We so are.
