The ladies stole the show last night as Strictly Come Dancing rolled out the red carpet for their annual launch.

The male judges looked dashing in their tuxedos - even politician Ed Balls played the part in satin-trimmed navy. But it was the celebrity women who dazzled the crowd with inimitable Strictly-style colour, beading and sequins.

Irish beauty Laura Whitmore led the procession in a VERY short, backless, Charleston dress that matched her wavy blonde locks.

Not to be outdone by the TV presenter, model Daisy Lowe went bra-less in a sheer red blouse with sequined suspender straps over her nipples and a fishnet-patterned skirt.

Ed Balls lapped up the lingering attention, giving both ladies a twirl before enjoying his own fleeting moment in the spotlight.

Will Young broke with tuxedo tradition and rocked a grey double-breasted grey suit with brogue dancing shoes. The 37-old-old gent escorted fellow pop idol Louise Redknapp and BBC newsreader Naga Munchetty past the eagar crowds.
