Jeremy McConnell was arrested yesterday

Stephanie Davis has broken her silence after her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell was arrested after he breached a community order.

The Irish model was found guilty for assaulting Steph earlier this year and was given a 20-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months and instructed to take a 'Building Better Relationships' course.

He also had to undertake 15 days of Rehabilitation Activity Requirements and 200 hours unpaid work (community service).

The 27-year-old dad recently went to Turkey to have a hair and beard transplant but because of his trip he missed eight work appointments out of his 200-hour order and was sent to jail for 18 weeks.

Now, Steph has spoken out following her ex-boyfriend's arrest and thanked her followers for their support. She tweeted: "Thank you for your love, faith and support. It means a lot ❤️"

Lots of fans rushed to support the actress, with one person writing: "I've been in toxic relationships like that. It's hard to get out of, but once you do, one thrives. You are doing great!"

Someone else said: "Believe me you will look back and wonder what the hell you ever saw in him! Time heals all!! Concentrate on you and your little man, make sure he grows up with positive role models in his life including a strong mama who had his best interest!!"

Another commented: "Made me lol to myself when I read Jeremy had been sentenced haha what a mug, your so much more better off without him x"

A fourth wrote: "Steph we have had your bk since day one, you are a fantastic mummy to Caben, and a fantastic singer and actress, so proud of you getting through all this, and keeping your head held high, as they say karma has come around, 😘💖"

One more added: "Should have been put inside the 1st time he was at court... away getting that ridiculous shit done like it's one big joke! Know where his priorities lie and it's certainly not with your boy!"

In August, Steph spoke in court about the attack and revealed that Jeremy accused her of having a lesbian affair and a fling with a fireman before he got violent.
