She’s already a proud mum to five children – sons Zachary, 16, Leighton, 12, and Rex, five, and daughters Rose, two, and Belle, one – but it seems Stacey Solomon is keen to make her brood even bigger, after telling social media fans she’d ‘love more’.
The Loose Women star, 35, shared an adorable video of her two daughters playing on social media, writing alongside it, ‘My favourite thing in the world is being a mum. I get so much joy from watching our little ones grow and getting to be a part of their world. I would love more. Whatever will be will be.’
She went on to joke that her husband Joe Swash would be ‘off to get a vasectomy’ when he saw the post, but a source tells Closer a sixth baby is very much in Stacey’s plans for 2025, something which Joe has shown reluctance towards.
The source says, ‘Stacey knows that she sounds like a broken record and is forever feeling broody, but baby fever is taking over yet again.
‘It would be a handful to expand their brood – something Joe reminds her when she talks about it. But Stacey has no doubt that she could make it work and thinks right now could be a good time as there is a nice age gap between the children that she and Joe share.’
Stacey, who shot to fame on The X Factor in 2009, shares Rex, Rose and Belle with Joe, and elder sons Zachary and Leighton with exes Dean Cox and Aaron Barnham respectively. Meanwhile, Joe is also dad to son Harry, 17, from a previous relationship.
As well as a full house of kids, Closer previously reported how Joe was concerned about Stacey’s latest project of turning their home – nicknamed Pickle Cottage – into an animal sanctuary, with her wanting to add rabbits to the dogs and ducks they already have as pets, warning against the ‘chaos’ new additions would add to the household.
‘With all the animals that they’ve been welcoming into Pickle Cottage, Stacey knows deep down that she is yearning to bring more family members into their lives and despite the hectic nature of the house, she knows between her and Joe there is nothing they can’t handle,’ the source tells Closer.
‘It’s a daunting dilemma as so many things have to be put on hold, but Stacey knows she will always find a way to figure things out.
‘Her pals have expressed slight concern that it could be a total madhouse, but Stacey loves the chaos and says that Joe does too, even if he has said otherwise in the past. Stacey is at her happiest when she is pregnant or caring for a newborn. Everyone’s told her to go for it if it’s what she wants and, ultimately, Joe will always want what Stacey wants.’
