She’s had a roller-coaster love life over the last few years, and has long spoken out about her desire to settle down.
And now Charlotte Crosby has announced the happy news she’s expecting a baby with her boyfriend, Jake Ankers.
Taking to social media last week, the Geordie Shore star, 31 – who has only been dating businessman Jake for seven months – shared an emotional video of her revealing the news to her family, and told her 7.7m Instagram followers, “A moment I wasn’t sure would ever be mine is here, it’s mine (and Jake’s) and I couldn’t be happier to be sharing it with you all… I’m having a baby.”
The news also comes just eight months after she split from boyfriend of over a year, Liam Beaumont. Charlotte has also endured rocky relationships, with fellow Geordie Shore alumni Gary Beadle, former Love Islander Josh Ritchie, and reality TV star Stephen Bear.
But now Charlotte’s best pal and co-star Sophie Kasaei tells Closer how happy her friend is.
“This is the biggest news I’ve had in ages. I only found out the day before she announced it online! We see each other two to three times a week but since around February she’s been really sheepish and I was like, ‘Why is she being so weird?’ She wouldn’t go out, and Charlotte and I are party girls! I was getting dreams and visions that she was pregnant, so I voicenoted her around two months ago and said ‘I know you’re pregnant – I don’t know if you know but you need to take a pregnancy test’.
“She threw me off the scent by saying she had just come off her period and that she was hungover – she even forced herself to go to the gym with me, and the other week we were filming and she asked for alcohol-free prosecco on the sly. She’s a sneaky bugger!”
Welling up, Sophie, 32, continued, “It’s really strange, but I feel emotionally attached to the baby already. Me and Charlotte aren’t affectionate friends – we’re not the type to hug each other but since I’ve heard the news, I can’t stop telling her how much I love her.
“I’m really on board with Jake. It’s early in their relationship, but when you know, you know. You get to a certain age where you don’t mess around. After everything she’s been through, all the frogs that she’s kissed, she knew Jake was the perfect guy.”

Charlotte suffered heartache in 2016 when she suffered an ectopic pregnancy while expecting Gary’s baby, while he was away filming Ex On The Beach. She recently opened up about it and said that while she doesn’t hold a grudge, she “hasn’t forgiven him” for not being there.
“I didn’t know what the hell was going on and I was in so much pain,” Charlotte previously revealed. “It’d torn open my fallopian tube and I was bleeding internally. The doctor said if I’d left it any longer I could have died.”
And so Sophie says this pregnancy will be extra special.
“Charlotte really worried that she’d struggle to start a family because she only has one ovary. I was there throughout the whole ectopic pregnancy and saw how ill she was so I feel like a proper auntie. She’s over the moon and I’m over the moon for her.
“Charlotte’s documented the whole journey with her videos and I think it’s been rocky, especially at the beginning, which is probably why she waited to tell us. She’s so overwhelmed that she’s taking a little break from Instagram. I’m looking after her but I just keep getting so emotional about it!”
