The actor, who plays Steve McDonald in the ITV soap, was reported to have been suffering from a'frightening' mystery illness and awaiting the results of blood tests.
Sources claimed that the soap's filming schedules would be affected due to Simon Gregson's involvement in a major upcoming plotline, which will see many of Corrie's main characters injured in a shock mini-bus crash.
But Simon himself has now taken to Twitter, revealing he fully intends to make a speedy return to Corrie in order to "annoy" Alan Halsall, who plays Tyrone Dobbs on the serial.
He wrote: "Afternoon thanks for messages people.
"I was [sick] now [well]… back in Monday to annoy @alanhalsall, hooray."
Andrew Whyment, who plays Kirk Sutherland, also wished his co-star well, writing: "That's great news mate, glad you're feeling better - see you in work on Monday."
We're sure fans will breathe a sigh of relief, as Steve McDonald is one of the show's most popular characters.
His character is currently at the centre of a major Coronation Street storyline about depression, and producer Stuart Blackburn recentlysaid that there will be consequences for Steve and Michelle later this year.
He told Digital Spy: "On Christmas Day and beyond, we'll see a real challenge to Steve and Michelle's relationship. I absolutely know that Simon Gregson and Kym Marsh are very good actors."

He added that the shock mini-bus crash plot line, scheduled for January, will force Steve to face up to his demons.

Blackburn added: "This isn't an issues story though. Obviously depression amongst men is incredibly widespread and probably not spoken about enough, but this is just a love story between Steve and Michelle and a very brilliant one at that."
We're so glad to hear that Simon is well and ready to get back to Weatherfield!
