Actress Sheridan Smith has revealed that she has rekindled her romance with her ex-boyfriend from 20 years ago following her split from her fiancé Jamie Horn in July.
In a joint statement released a week after her 40th birthday, Sheridan and Jamie, 33, confirmed that they have split and said, “We both remain completely committed to raising our beautiful boy, Billy, together.”
After focusing on her baby boy and reverting back to her platinum blonde locks, Sheridan confirmed that she had reconnecting with actor Alex Lawler cosy video on Instagram, saying, “So pleased this fitty I dated back in the day (20 years ago) is back in my life! Life works in mysterious ways miss u Mr L."
The video comes a week after Sheridan swooned over Alex’s good looks when she said, "He doesn’t need a filter (unlike me). I love you Alex Lawler."

Long gone are the days of Bryn as a humble telly actor. Rob has since gone on to star in Hollywood movies including The Huntsmen: Winter's War (he played Gryff) and he played Master Phineus in the real life version of Cinderella.

Her fans were quick to congratulate her new found happiness, with one saying, “The deepest of connections always last the longest of life’s journeys. So pleased you’re back in a good place 🙏💐”
Another added, “I’m SO happy for you guys .. your beaming smile says it all! ♥️🙌🏼”
The Gavin and Stacey star met her ex-fiancé and baby daddy Jamie through Tinder in 2018, two years after taking a break from the spotlight. Previously, she said she’d been “falling apart” and self-medicating to cope with the death of her beloved dad, Colin, from cancer, in 2016.
The pair announced the arrival of their little boy in December 2020, a stunning photo of the little one holding onto her finger.
Sheridan simply wrote, "Our little man has arrived! We are both completely overwhelmed with love 💙".

Last year, Sheridan credited Jamie for helping her overcome her mental health issues and said she was the “happiest I’ve ever felt” since becoming a family of three.
A source said of the split, “Sheridan’s heartbroken and is in a state of shock right now, as she’s still trying to come to terms with the fact that the stable family she’d dreamed of has been torn apart.
“She’s hoping they may get back together after time apart, but right now, she’s trying her best to stay strong for Billy and focus on her wellbeing to ensure she doesn’t fall back into that dark place.”
