Ruth Langsford is preparing for Strictly Come Dancing 2017 but has come under fire after sharing a video of herself dancing… with her dog.
Yes, really.
Sharing the adorable video on Twitter of Ruth dancing with her rescue dog Maggie, she wrote: "My Maggie helping me break my dancing shoes in... def more poise & grace than me!! @bbcstrictly #Maggie #RescueDog #DogsTrust #Dancing #Shoes"

Although lots of people found the video hilarious, some people were quick to criticize the TV presenter for dancing with her dog. One person was quick to write: "Noooo please put her down. This puts way too much pressure on her hips and spine 😔"
Someone else said: "That's not good for their hips"
Another added: "Or how about not pull your dog about? Even they don't seem bothered it's not very nice."
A fourth fumed: "Dogs are not designed to dance! This is not good for her joints. She's going along with it to please you. Stop being ridiculous."
One more person wrote: "No... that will hurt her that's why she's resisting and your pulling her!!!"
Luckily though, some of Ruth's 522k followers rushed to defend her with one person hitting out and saying: "To all the neg people what about all the dancing dogs that do tricks on their own! My dog does and loves it! Well done Maggie and Ruth 🐾🐾🐾"
Another commented: "God I hate 21st century people if you don't dance with your dog do you even love your dog xx"
Someone else said: "What about Pudsey and all those other amazing dancing dog acts that do it alone!!!! Well done loving Maggie "
The happy couple first adopted their rescue dog in 2011 and Ruth said at the time that the new addition to her family "completed them". She explained: "I am totally smitten.
"My son Jack has been begging me for ages to get a dog and since we picked up Maggie at Easter, from the Dogs Trust, a rescue centre in Harefield, she’s made our family complete.
"I have to admit she is a bit of Daddy’s girl and goes mad when Eamonn comes home. It can make me feel a bit jealous when she leaps off my lap! But I like to think we have a special bond, too," she told the Mail Online.
Ruth and her husband may be going back to their usual Friday presenting days when Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield return to This Morning but we'll be seeing the fabulous presenter regularly on our screens when she alongside Mollie King, Gemma Atkinson and Simon Rimmer take part in Strictly Come Dancingnext week!
We cannot wait!
