Her calm and friendly personality has made her a fan favourite as a guest host on This Morning, but insiders say Rochelle Humes is feeling torn after a reported new feud on the daytime show.
Just days after returning to the UK following a break after filling in for Holly Willoughby, 40, insiders say she’s been awkwardly thrust into the latest drama between her pals and co-hosts, Eamonn Holmes, 62, and Phillip Schofield, 59.
In a no-holds barred interview last week, Eamonn – who along with his wife, Ruth Langsford, 61, was dropped from his regular Friday slot in November 2020 after 15 years – said, “Phillip is renowned for snubbing people. He’s very passive-aggressive.”
Calling out his long-term frenemy – with whom he’s had a turbulent history – for cutting off Ruth during a trailer for Loose Women in 2019, he added, “It’s up to Ruth to say how she felt, but I was feeling hurt for her. No one would have snubbed me like that.”
Following the incident, the pair reportedly filed a complaint against their colleague, sparking a bitter feud between them.
The Belfast-born host – who’s now moved to GB News – also labelled the show’s network, ITV, “sly” for the way they handled his shock departure.
He said, “They’re sly. They didn’t want to announce that I’d been dropped because it would adversely affect audience figures, so they made it look as if I’d walked away from them rather than the other way round.” ITV responded saying, “This isn’t a version of events that we recognise and, as we have said before, we wish Eamonn all of the very best.”
Now insiders say Rochelle feels torn. The source says, “Rochelle’s close to both Eamonn and Phillip and has been really upset by all bad feeling. It’s created more unrest behind the scenes at work when things have already been so rocky.”
Following Eamonn’s axing, Rochelle threw her support behind the veteran presenter, who shared a heartwarming throwback snap on his Instagram page, which she’d sent him amid the ensuing drama.
Proving their close bond both on and off camera, the former Saturdays singer was pictured wrapping her arms around her pal on the set of This Morning during one of their co-presenting stints together.
Clearly grateful for his friend’s support, he wrote, “Just got sent this by my lovely friend Rochelle. That’s when a picture is worth a thousand words.”

Last year, she appeared to confirm she’s remained close with Eamonn and Ruth since their departure during her first cooking stint on the show, which the husband-and-wife team were guest hosting.
The budding chef told Ruth, “We’re always sending each other messages about each others’ food, aren’t we?”
And insiders say Rochelle – who’s also close to Phillip, with whom she regularly works alongside when standing in for Holly – has been left feeling torn between her loyalty to Eamonn and her future on This Morning.
A source says, “Rochelle’s feeling torn and caught in the middle of the war given her close friendship and loyalty to both of them.
“While she wants Eamonn to know she still supports him, she’s also very focused on her presenting career which is thriving thanks to This Morning and that means ensuring she maintains a great relationship both on and off camera with her colleagues, including Phillip.”

Rochelle – who shares daughters Alaia-Mai, eight, and Valentina, four, and one-year-old son, Blake, with her husband, Marvin Humes, 36 – has gone on to carve out a successful career since her pop-star days, becoming a household name as a successful presenter and businesswoman.
In 2013, she and former JLS star Marvin joined This Morning as regular stand-in hosts, and in 2015, she bagged a role co-hosting The Xtra Factor, going on to front ITV’s talent show, The Next Great Magician, alongside Stephen Mulhern the following year.
She has also frequently covered for Emma Willis on Sunday Morning Breakfast on Heart Radio and took over from Emma Bunton on the network in 2018, which she decided to take a break from upon falling pregnant with Blake.

The star – whose joint worth with Marvin is said to be £9 million – also has her own children’s hair and skincare range, My Little Coco, as well as a best-selling children’s book and cookbook.
After parting ways with her management company to set up her own firm, The RH Group, the star revealed how her motivation came from close pal Holly, who’d recently done the same. “Holly really inspired me,” she confessed, adding, “She really inspires me a lot.”
And as the star’s career continues to thrive, pals say Rochelle is determined to remain impartial amid the latest drama.
The source adds, “Rochelle’s made a vow to steer clear of any conversations that involve Eamonn and Phillip – she doesn’t want to get dragged into the drama, especially given her loyalties to them both.
“While she understands and respects Eamonn wanting to have his say and get things off his chest, she’s clear that she won’t take sides in their war.
“Her role on This Morning is incredibly important to her and isn’t something she wants to risk over drama that doesn’t involve her, so she’s going to keep a professional head while keeping her friendships with both Eamonn and Phillip intact.”
