With our friends across the pond celebrating Mother’s Day yesterday, (Sunday 8th May) many of our favourite American celebrities took to social media to praise their parents or sing their love for their little ones.
But one message in particular caught our attention, and that was from our favourite pop princess Britney Spears.
The mum-of-two wrote an open letter in TIME magazine directed at her two young sons.
The 34-year-old addressed to Jayden and Preston:
“You are my masterpieces. From the day I saw the most precious eyes, I believed in miracles to the core.
“I pray as a mother I teach you strength and passion to carry through the struggles in the world. Most battles will always be won on your knees. I pray you find your dreams.”
The adorable mother continued:
“Always believe in yourself and know anything is possible I hope the most precious mysteries of life stay with you always and you are never ashamed of how bright your light truly is.
And the gushing mum closed beautifully, saying:
“I pray you laugh, love and soar through your journey of life.”
The ...Baby One More Time singer gave birth to her two boys in 2005 and 2006 during her marriage to their father, Kevin Federline.
But the beauty split with Kevin in November 2006, just months after the arrival of baby Jayden.
On the short lived marriage, Britney previously explained in a heartfelt documentary:
“I think I married for the wrong reasons….Instead of following my heart and doing something that made me really happy, I just did it for the idea of everything.”
But since the toxic split, she has been raising her two boys as a strong single mum, and often shows them off on her Instagram page.
And elsewhere on the social media site, Miss Spears has been showing off her incredible bikini body – looking good!
