Eamonn Holmes is reportedly “raging” that his long-term colleague Phillip Schofield misspelled his name in every single reference to him in his newly released memoir, Life Is What You Make It.

There have been reports of tension between the two ever since last year when Eamonn’s wife Ruth Langsford allegedly filed an official complaint against Phil at ITV over cutting her off mid-link. However, since Phil bravely came out as gay back in February, they had nothing but kind things to say about each other.

Now it looks as though Phil has reignited the feud by spelling Eamonn’s name with one ‘n’ instead of two in all four references to him in the book.

“Eamonn, with two n’s, is raging. How did no one pick up on this in 400 pages?” said a source.

“If it’s a joke, Eamonn certainly wasn’t in on it and the error has ruffled feathers, yet again.”

Following his official statement about his sexuality earlier this year, Phil made an emotional return to This Morning where he, Ruth and Eamonn exchanged hugs and Phil called them “utterly magnificent” in a tweet.

Holly Willoughby: This Morning clothes and where to get them cheaper on the high street

In the memoir, published under Michael Joseph publishers, Phil spoke about the moment he knew he had to come out publicly, writing,“It was the first time my issues had spilled over into work. Another day I had to leave a fashion item to be sick. I now know that I needed professional help. It was a very stupid thing to do... all my closest friends knew how ragged my head was but no one except Steph knew why.

“I sat alone in the flat, staring at the walls, as This Morning started on the other side of London.”
