Peter Andre recently revealed that his wife Emily is pregnant.
He share the news with his Instagram fans, posting a photograph of her ultrasound.
He captioned the snap: “OMG dad to be AGAIN :))) Brilliant. So so happy”
However he’s now let slip that doctor Emily wasn’t too happy with their good news going public so quickly.
Speaking in his column for new! magazine, he explained: “As soon as we left the hospital, I put the picture of Emily’s scan on Twitter.
“She was like, ‘Couldn’t you have at least waited until we got home?’”
He added excitedly: “[But] I couldn’t wait to tell everyone!”
It came as a little bit of a surprise that the couple are expecting, as Pete previously said that they were planning to wait a while before giving their daughter Amelia a baby brother or sister.
Speaking to OK! magazine last year, the Mysterious Girl singer explained they planned to try for another baby when Emily finished her first year as a junior doctor in August.
He added: “I’d like to have another baby next year, but you never know what’s going to happen.
“We’ll have to see how Em’s work goes and I’m travelling for my tour next year, and already have a lot going on after that, which I love, but will make it harder."
However it seems as if Pete managed to persuade the young doctor that the time was right!
The dad-of-three may have gotten a little too excited when it came to announcing their pregnancy news to the world, but he has added that he and Emily won’t be doing the same with their unborn baby’s gender.
“We want it to be a surprise for once,” he said firmly.
Whether it’s a pink or a blue one, the 43-year-old, who is also father to Junior and Princess from his marriage to Katie Price, will be very happy.
However some savvy Instagram users have already speculated that the couple are definitely having a boy.
One wrote: “You’re having a boy you can tell by the scan photo it's exactly the same as mine!”
“IT’S A BOY!!!” added another, slightly over-excitedly.
One Instagram user said tentatively: “I think a boy.”
Another confidently predicted: “Awww! Looks like a little boy going by the nub theory!”
WHAT IS THE NUB THEORY?
So what’s the nub theory, then?
Well, the theory goes that if you’re having a boy the nub (aka the penis-like stump between the unborn bubba’s legs) points up at 30 degrees or more and if you’re having a girl the ‘angle of the dangle’ is less than 30 degrees.
Plenty of people think this works, although there’s no scientific proof to back it up.
If they DO have a baby boy, it’ll mean that Pete will have two daughters and two sons; pretty perfect, eh?
Congratulations once again to Peter Andre and Emily MacDonagh!
